Before starting your application, please confirm the following and prepare prescribed forms, certificates, your photograph data and an envelope (240x332 mm).

Also, please confirm the Examination Q&A for Master's Program (Division of Advanced Science and Technology) (Japanese Only), the Online Examination Q&A [Master's Program] and the Examination Q&A for Doctoral Program (Division of Advanced Science and Technology) (Japanese Only) before registering the online application.

If this is your first online application, please register your "My page" from "My Page Registration" button.

Please access your "My page" by clicking the "Login" button. Then, click the "Perform Application Procedures", select the division, the program, the enrollment period and the type of examination you wish to apply for, enter the necessary information, and upload the prescribed forms.

*Your photograph data (jpeg, jpg, png, bmp) (max:2MB) is necessary. We use your photograph for identification. Please prepare your color photograph data which shows your full head and shoulders facing the front without a hat or any material covering your head and face, has no background and was taken in the past 3 months.

Please pay the screening fee through a convenience store, ATM [Pay-easy], online banking [Pay-easy] or with a credit card. (If you pay outside of Japan, you can use a credit card only.)
Please check the details of the payment method on the online application site. The payment deadline is 4 days after the online registration including the day you registered. (In the case that the application deadline is earlier than the payment deadline, we put priority on the application deadline.)

*Commission fees need to be paid by an applicant besides the screening fee.

*If you noticed a mistake on your application before paying the screening fee, please access your "My page" and correct it, then finish the payment. Your application would be cancelled in case you didn't finish the payment by the payment deadline.

Please mail certificates (transcript(s) and proof of (expected) graduation and so on) to the Admissions Section by registered express mail for applicants in Japan or by registered mail such as DHL, FedEX or EMS for applicants from overseas within the application period (postmark valid). (You can also submit them at the counter of Admission Section in JAIST.)
Please note that we will not accept your application without those certificates mailed by the end of application period.

*The application form you can see on your "My page" after the screening fee payment is just for your confirmation. You do not need to mail it to JAIST.

*Please glue the JAIST address label, shown on "My page" with the application form, onto the front side of an envelope, 240mmx332mm, and use it for mailing certificates to us. When you do not use this label, please write your name and address clearly, also rubricate the program, the division and the type of examination you wish to apply for and send them by registered express mail.
